Bankfield was opened in April 1987. The house has a long and noted history as one of the oldest properties in Bury, the original building dating back to the 18th century.
We have 43 bedrooms, 22 are en Suite. Decorated to a high standard some have French windows. leading to our secure landscaped garden. All residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to make them feel at home.
Our lovely garden is self-contained and has a relaxing water feature, seating, and paved walkways for residents and guests to enjoy.
Activities are planned weekly, and we focus on the individual to ensure we offer activities that particularly suit their needs, these are a mix of fun times, exercises and-relaxing activities individuals and for groups.
Our dining room offers food and drinks 24 hours a day to be sure residents and guests are never far from refreshments. We have 3 relaxing lounges and 3 conservatories all looking onto the south-facing ornamental garden. So, you can join your friends or find. time in a quiet area.
Food is an important issue as it can have such a positive effect on everyone. However, catering to the elderly and those with dementia does bring special challenges. We need to ensure we offer the right nutritional balances. in some cases very special menus that cater to soft foods or specific diets.
